Florida Memorial University Names Rojas as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University has announced the hire of Sebastian Rojas as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. Rojas brings years of experience as a former NCAA Division I athlete to the strength & conditioning program, led by head strength & conditioning coach, Caleb High.

"I'm incredibly excited to have the opportunity to join the Florida Memorial University family," said Rojas. "As someone who has been apart college athletics firsthand, I'm excited to help these student athletes grow on and off the field, and build a culture centered on hard work and accountability."

"We're super excited to have Sebastian apart of the staff and the knowledge he will bring," said High. "I'm looking forward to a great year with him."

Prior to joining FMU, Rojas spent four years as a student strength coach intern at Piedmont University while competing as a four-year NCAA Division III men's soccer student-athlete. During his time at Piedmont, he assisted with the development of multiple athletic programs, including men's and women's soccer, men's lacrosse, and men's golf, coaching proper lifting technique, supervising training sessions, and supporting daily sports performance operations.

Rojas earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Fitness Administration with a minor in Strength and Conditioning from Piedmont University, graduating Cum Laude. He also completed a strength and conditioning internship with the University of Miami women's soccer program, and coached strength training that was soccer specific through Modern Elite Training. Sebastian is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is passionate about helping student-athletes maximize their performance through evidence-based training.
