COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Florida Memorial University’s Department of Strength & Conditioning is guided by foundational training principles designed to develop efficient movement patterns that minimize injury risk while building balanced, powerful, and resilient athletes. Through the application of the SAID (Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demands) principle and comprehensive sport-specific needs analysis, training programs are strategically designed to meet the physical and physiological demands of each sport and athlete. By aligning programming with the movements, energy systems, and performance requirements necessary for competition, the department aims to maximize athletic performance, durability, and long-term development while educating student-athletes on the purpose and value behind their training.
