MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University Women's Soccer has officially announced its 2026 Fall schedule. A 17-match slate that features a balanced mix of home and away contests as the Lions prepare for their third consecutive postseason push.

The 2026 campaign will include nine home matches at Dr. Lester B. Brown Park, one home match at Orange Bowl Field at Ives Estates Park, and seven road contests, giving FMU plenty of opportunities to compete in front of its home supporters throughout the season.

Among the schedule's highlights are three matchups against NCAA Division II opponents, Barry, Edward Waters, and Palm Beach Atlantic providing the Lions with valuable tests against strong competition as they continue to elevate their program.

Action kicks off on Saturday, August, 22 with the season opener at Webber. FMU returns home for a trio of home matches, starting on Thursday, August 27 against Barry for Welcome Back Day, followed by Wednesday, September 2 against Florida Polytechnic, and rounding off with a match against Florida National on Friday, September 4.

FMU then travels to Palm Beach Atlantic five days later, before returning to Dr. Lester Brown Park for Divine 9 Day against fellow HBCU Edward Waters on Monday, September 14. The Lions will host Florida College on Friday, September 18, followed by a road match against Florida National on Tuesday, September 22, and rounding out non-conference play hosting Ave Maria on Friday, September 25.

Conference action begins on Wednesday, September 30 in a road match against St. Thomas for the Battle of Miami Gardens. The Lions then travel to Lakeland to take on Southeastern on Saturday, October 3. FMU will host back-to-back home matches, first against Warner on Wednesday, October 7 for International Day, and against Webber exactly one week later for Senior Day. The Lions then travel the next two weeks, for matches against Ave Maria on Saturday, October 17 and New College of Florida on Wednesday, October 21.

The lone home night match of the season lands on Saturday, October 24 against SCAD-Savannah, before the regular season finale on Wednesday, October 28 against No. 1 Keiser.

FMU enters the season with momentum after back-to-back post-season appearances. The Lions have established themselves as a contender in the conference, and 2024 Sun Conference Coach of the Year Marc Lue Young is hoping to build on the recent success of the past two seasons. Last season ended with a narrow 1-0 defeat to St. Thomas in round one of the Sun Conference Tournament.

Lue Young is optimistic about the team's outlook heading into the fall campaign, citing the experience and depth of the current roster as key strengths.

"This season's team features experienced returners and transfers who form the core of our group compared to previous years," said Lue Young. "This team has the ability to be special and achieve great success. We are excited for the upcoming season, and this group is solid both in attack and defensively."

With a veteran core returning and impactful newcomers joining the program, the Lions believe they have the quality in place to compete at a high level throughout the season. The combination of experience, talent, and depth will be critical as FMU navigates a challenging schedule.

The Lions will look to take the next step in 2026 and make another playoff run. The combination of a favorable home schedule, strong non-conference competition, and conference matchups will provide FMU with ample opportunities to prepare for tournament play.

FMU will kick off its 2026 season away at Webber on August 22^nd  as the Lions seek to continue their recent streak of success and compete for conference and postseason honors.
