Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University played their most competitive game of the season against Florida National, resulting in their first set win of the season. Despite the 3-1 loss, FMU played neck and neck with FNU all night long, as neither set was separated by more than three points.

Junior, L'fe Roberts led the team in kills with 12, with junior Serena Edwards just behind with 11 on the day. Sophomore Leila Betancourt led the team in assists with 34 on the night, while on defense, senior Drew Lester had 17 digs for FMU.

The loss moves FMU to 0-5 on the season.

FMU returns to action Saturday, September 5, for the conference opener against Southeastern. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center. Purchase tickets using this link, and students who show their student ID get free entry.
