Alaira Handy joined the FMU women's soccer team in Fall 2026.

A native to Live Oak, Fla., Handy graduated from Suwanee High School in 2026. She played all four years on the soccer team and three years on the flag football team, where she was named Lake City Reporter Player of the Year, Gainesville Sun Player of the Year, and the first female In Suwannee to go to college for both soccer and flag football. She won a flag football championship with the team as well.

Handy chose FMU because she likes the culture and representation of the school. Her favorite part about FMU is the small town college experience. Handy's interests include:
