LAKE WALES, Fla. – Senior forward Isis Lane secured her third-straight double-double while a season-high 11 total players recorded points as Florida Memorial University cruised to an 80-38 victory over host Warner University Thursday night in the Turner Athletic Center.
 
Lane was efficient and effective Thursday, going 9-of-12 from the field as she recorded a game-high 20 points to go along with a game-high 11 rebounds. Danielle Bailey added 11 points, Airneisha Gamble chipped in with 10, as FMU (10-10, 5-5 Sun Conference) completely dominated – finishing with more rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks than Warner as well as shooting better than the Lady Royals from the field and three-point line.
 
Florida Memorial, which will host Sun Conference rival Webber International University this Saturday (Jan. 25), led by as many as 45 points midway through the fourth quarter in a game that the Lady Lions used to climb back to .500 in their overall and conference records.
 
As FMU's lead ballooned, head coach Gregory Stanback went deep into his bench, playing all 12 of his players – enabling him to give rest to normally high-usage players like Lane (25 minutes) and Bailey (20 minutes). After Gamble, Nashley Zayas was the team's next leading scorer with eight; Toriana McDuffie, Ashleign Gary, and Meaurie Pickett each added six; then Unique Tate and freshman Ixsamar Gonzalez both scored four.
 
Thursday's win gave the Lions the season sweep over the besieged Royals (2-18, 0-10), who got 18 points from D'Asia James but had no other player score more than four points.
